About the author.

Hello, my name is Jeremy Jefferson. I am currently a full-time student at ITT-Tech in Fort Wayne Indiana. I am 22 years old and live in Larwill, Indiana.

I graduated early from Whitko High School in 2005. In high school I was active in school publication. I worked on the yearbook all four years and also did the school website for a couple years.

Currently I am working towards a networking degree from ITT-Tech. My goal is to get a career in computer networking. Ideally I would love to get a job working as the IT administrator for a school.

Hey,

Looks like I missed my November issue to my blog, oh well. I’m within weeks of finishing my first semester of college. The good news is, it looks like I will pass all my classes. I should be getting at least a B in all of them.

Next semester starts next month. I have posted my schedule, which you look at here. I will satisfy all my prerequisites for my Networking classes in the spring. Then next Fall I can finally get into the stuff I’m going to college for.

Went shopping on “Black Friday” this year. First time I’ve ever went. I bought a 1 GIG Flash Drive for $48 (half price). You can see a picture of the flash drive here.

No job as of right now. I have applied at Holiday Inn Express, and plan on try some other hotels. My car is still running, although it has shown a few signs of nearing “death” in the past few weeks. Well see.

As for JWJKP, no new programs have been released in the past few months. The Evader may go into a “freeze” mode delaying the release of it. I’ve had some second thoughts about releasing a program like this for the reputation of JWJKP. My next program will most likely be a DCC client for IRC clients like mIRC.

Well, not much more to say. Happy Holidays to all.

Greetings,

September was my first full month in college. I’m attending Indiana’s Ivy Tech Community College. So far everything is going great. I have Classes only on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. My Wednesday class can be done on the internet if I wish. I also have one other internet class.

The hunt for a job has resulted in no luck as of right now. I plan on applying at a lot of places in the following weeks.

As for my car, My dad and I fixed my front left strut and replaced the coil spring. It rides a lot nicer now. Before we fixed it every bump you went over made a noise. Now we need to fix the brake problem, which squeaks for some reason. I might also get another strut for the front right tire.

As for programming, I’ve been a little lazy the last month. I have created a few things however. Since I help manage a Tetrinet server at www.TetriNet-IRC.com, I decided to write a bot to relay messages from one server to another. I’m also putting some final GUI touches on my Evader application to be released mid January.

To add to my arsenal of programming languages, I’m attempting to learn PHP and Perl. I hope to have these mastered within the next few months to allow me to create nice features on my site with CGI and PHP.

I’m also starting a program to help people who run their own Apache web servers and have no idea how to co figurate the htacces file. This program might not ever be finished but it’s coming along.

My website has seen many changes in the last month also. I’ve created a script, along with Tikiman (A person I know from IRC), to show you my idle time on my personal site. You can find this at www.jeremy.jwjkp.com/contact.php. My idle time is the amount of time since I last did something on my desktop computer. My pictures archive has been moved to www.jeremy.jwjkp.com/pictures.php. This was an effort to allow you to view them and my personal site at the same time.

Some time next month I plan on uploading JWJKP’s first service to its viewers. I plan on creating a Pasteboard where you can paste snippets of text to allow other people to view. I might also purchase a new domain just for my personal site. If this happens, www.jeremy.jwjkp.com will be forwarded to the new site so you won’t miss out.

That’s about all I have for this month, thank you for reading.

Hello, I’ve decided to start a monthly blog on my site. On the first of each month I’ll put up a new entry. Each blog will pertain to the stuff that happened in the last month, and expectations for the next month.

It’ll also include updates and news about my programming organization, JWJKP.
