About the author.

Hello, my name is Jeremy Jefferson. I am currently a full-time student at ITT-Tech in Fort Wayne Indiana. I am 22 years old and live in Larwill, Indiana.

I graduated early from Whitko High School in 2005. In high school I was active in school publication. I worked on the yearbook all four years and also did the school website for a couple years.

Currently I am working towards a networking degree from ITT-Tech. My goal is to get a career in computer networking. Ideally I would love to get a job working as the IT administrator for a school.

Well, I still do not have a job or a server but I have decided to move my sites next month. The prices for my current plan are now too high in my opinion due too the increase in domains. I’ve seen the need for more disk space coming also and the price it would cost for the 4 domains and the disk space is just unreasonable now.

Due to this I am going to start the process of moving my sites over to a new hosting server were, if everything goes good, I should be until I get my own server. The move will start July 1st but will not officially happen until July 6th. On July 6th my site may be down for a while, maybe even the whole day.

I’m pretty happy with the new service I have found which includes 6 times more disk space, 5 times more bandwidth, and comes with everything I currently have which are all unlimited (including the domains).

If I was to stick with who I have now I would be paying $9.50 a month for 1.5 GB of disk space and 10 GB transfer with limited MySQL databases, ftp accounts, and domains. With the new service I will be paying $6 a month for 3 GB of disk space and 50 GB transfer with unlimted everything. The new service comes with everything the old one had and more.

I have liked my current hoster but even after complaints of actually paying my plan over again with domains they still are contempt on charging for them. In addition, my current plan just doesn’t meet my needs in disk space and I would have to pay even more every month to make it meet them.

Unless something unexpected happens this move will take place as stated above. If I was to get a job here in the next week or two, I may just stick with my current hoster for 1 more month to use to get my own server and everything transferred over.

Wish me luck, the next few months for my sites are going to be interesting. Possibly containing two moves.

Something that controls my DSL, a hub or something, with my ISP went out a little over a day ago. Since then I’ve almost no connection. My speed actually got down to 0.4KB/sec yesturday. Anyways, I’m getting really sick of these slow speeds.

As for my site…I have organized every post I have ever made into catagories. In a few days, pending my internet connection, I should have a page to browse these.

Over the next week I plan on working on my site a lot. As I now have a lot of posts on my site, I will be working on catagorizing them for easier browsing.

If all goes well, I hope to have all my planned updates done by May 9th. Thus, please understand that my site may be down, although unlikely, from time to time over the next week. Also, you may stumble upon my site while it is being worked on. If this happens, you may experiace some slow loading time or errors appearing on the site.

Well, May did see more activity than April; however, this site still was not as active as it was in March.

Total Hits for May: 23892 (17528 in April)
Unique Visitors: 748 (385 in April)

Also, for the first time I hit the 5 GB of bandwidth mark. In May my sites (this includes all of them) had a total of 5.26 GB of transfer. This breaks my previous high of 3.73 GB in April. Below is an interesting bandwidth chart showing you how my sites have grown in activity.

Month Usage
July 2005 211.0 MB
August 2005 1.07 GB
September 2005 298.0 MB
October 2005 3.03 GB
November 2005 3.45 GB
February 2006 2.19 GB
March 2006 3.43 GB
April 2006 3.73 GB
May 2006 5.26 GB

As you can see, I have really shot up since I started. Not really sure what happened to the usage stats for Dec 2005 and Jan 2006, but they are missing.

Well, there you have it. May turned out to be a pretty good month for my site, but still need to get back to or above the numbers I saw in March when my site had 38962 hits.

Thank you to everyone who has visited my sites and posted comments on this site.
